Description
of Home
Country Craftsman Construction has built a wonderful cedar and
stone home in Norfork. This 2,400 square foot, walk-out basement home overlooks
the Norfork River teeming with trout for the avid fly-fisherman. This site
was meticulously inspected to determine the best setting for this style
home in its natural surroundings. We take into account the customer's desires
and wishes as well as the aesthetics of the property. This home is strategically
placed utilizing the existing trees to surround the home for privacy and
shade while capitalizing on the sloping lot for the walk-out basement plan.
Of course when the home owners are inside this home, their view is the
glory of nature through the 10 huge windows on the river-side.
Inside features African Slate Laufen ceramic tile floors, white oak
floors and vaulted cedar ceilings, all of which capture the feeling of
comfort and happiness living in a quality built Country Craftsman home.
Expert craftsmanship is evident throughout this home from the detailed
trim and finish work to the extra detailing on the hand-stuccoed wall
texture.
Inside the basement wall of the home lies the revolutionary Blue Maxx
concrete foundation system which provides a sturdy foundation and R25
insulation value without the need to fir and insulate the walls as in
traditional stick-built homes.
The owners will enjoy a warm fire in their Dutch West freestanding wood
stove in the great room on chilly nights but may also relish the cool
breeze off the river on hot summer nights. The outdoor rock ledge, patios
and decks and intriguing spiral staircase are inviting features to take
advantage of outdoor living.
The Shiloh cabinets throughout the home are made of hickory. The kitchen
counter-tops are cultured marble. The refrigerator is Amana with the
latest stainless steel finish, the stove is a Jenn-Air down-draft and
garden window surrounds the kitchen sink. The Caradco brand windows are
aluminum clad for low maintenance. The white oak trim throughout the
home is stained in light oak with satin lacquer finish. The interior
doors are all six-panel pine. The plumbing fixtures are all by Delta
and the showers are by Aquaglass. The master bath tub surround is marble.
The exterior is natural cedar siding and stone.
